Soar With Status Credits

Status Credits

Our members will go to some great lengths to avoid a decrease in their frequent flyer status. Once they have tasted the joys of silver, gold or platinum status, dropping down to bronze status  is unfathomable!

So when the clock is ticking and there are just days until their status plummets, our members become quite creative in their quest to covert the elusive status credits.

However, one must remember that there are some clear rules and regulations that must be followed or members may risk losing more than just their status.  One member provides these USEFUL GUIDELINES:

  • Just booking tickets will not get you status credits,  you need to fly as well
  • If your flight gets cancelled or re-routed you will not get SC credits for the booked flight, you will get it for the flight you get re-routed on
  • If you get upgraded by QF you earn status credits in the class you paid for, not the class you flew in
  • Booking tickets in your name and having someone else fly them is against Qantas rules and you could get suspended from the program.
